The purpose of the ISM'01 conference is to promote discussion and interaction among members of the information systems community with an emphasis on models and modelling techniques.

In order to encourage discussions among PhD students addressing their dissertations to this field and other researchers, a special session dedicated to PhD students' paper presentation will be organized and the best paper will be awarded.

The conference will be organized in conjunction with the 35th Spring International Conference Modelling and Simulation of Systems ( MOSIS '01 ).
