Brno 19.4.2001 The seventh conference proceedings (ISBN 80-214-1859-1, ISBN 80-214-1860-5) and students' competition is at the same time the first proceedings of the new century and the new millenium. Its extent is wider every year as the number of students, who take part in creative activities, increases every year, too. The competitions of students' works have a tradition which is longer than 30 years at the FEI of the BUT and which was not interrupted even in the years of radical changes at universities.
