Introduction
As can be seen on this page
we developed our own meeting room. It was necessary to make possible
record several data stream simultaneously. So I developed DV Capture what is a
tool designated for recording multiple audio and video
sources in real time. Each recorded channel is stored into separated file. Audio
sources are stored as standard WAVE files and video sources as AVI files. It is
possible to use any sound card and DV camera with drivers supported by DirectShow.
How to use it?
At first it is necessary to select sources which will be recorded. Add button
open window where are displayed all available sources which can be used. Desired
sources can be marked by mouse and chosen by OK button.
Selected sources are after selection shown in list Sources at
main window of an application. It is possible setup parameters of each of
selected sources. For audio sources can be set sampling frequency, number
of recorded channels, input and volume and balance of input. But settings of
these parameters is not available for audio stream from DV camera, because there
is sampling frequency defined by standard. For all sources
have to be set file name which will be used for storing of recorded data. Optionally
can be shown a preview window for selected channels. Recording is controlled by
Record and Stop buttons. Output files are automatically indexed by an addition
numbers if files with the same names already exist. So it is safe repeatedly
make recording with identical settings of output files. An actual settings of
selected sources and chosen parameters can be stored into an ini file. It is
possible load this file later and make recording with the same conditions.
