Computer Architecture Research Group
The Computer Architecture group is interested in all aspects of architectures of contemporary computer and digital systems, including the theory, design and implementation of application-specific (multiprocessor) systems (on chip), interconnection networks and communication, hardware-software interface as well as simulation and prototyping of embedded parallel applications. Next topic concerns graphic and multimedia architectures, fault tolerant systems and algorithms for data, image and video compression.Research interests
- Collective communication algorithms
- Parallel system performance
- Performance models of shared memory systems and GPGPU
- Modification of parallel systems' principles and techniques for chip-level implementation (multi-core, many-core)
- Application-specific (embedded) parallel systems
- Graphic and multimedia systems
- Fault tolerant systems
- Data, image and video compression
