Uniform Marker Field covers a large-scale planar (or non-planar) area and it is composed of mutually overlapping partial markers. Here, we propose a particular arrangement: Uniform Binary Checker-Board Marker Field.

Paper presents a fractal structure of markers similar to matrix codes (QR code, DataMatrix, ...) which allows for embedding markers of virtually unlimited number of scales with guaranteed density of individual markers.

We present a real-time algorithm for detection of possible occurrences of the codes in high-resolution (<15Mpix) images. This algorithm is characterized by a very low false negative rate and a reasonable false alarm rate.
