Abstract

This paper presents the calculation of the gas flow through the piston ring pack of internal combustion engines using standard numerical methods (ODE solvers present in MATLAB and a new method based on the Taylor series - Modern Taylor Series Method (MTSM).

Annotation

The paper deals with a model of the telegraph line, that consists of system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), rather than the partial differential telegraph equation. Computation is based on an original mathematical method. This method uses the Taylor series for solving ordinary differential equations in a non-traditional way.
