Flexible platform for rapid prototyping of embedded systems

|Important aspect underlying the whole conception of this flexible development platform is represented by exchangeable processor modules. Abundance of uncommited pins subsequently provides transparent connectivity of extension modules or various measurement setups for detailed analysis of system under development. In addition, user has an access to rich set of peripherals spanning selection of recent technologies.|
The core processor modules based on 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers from FLEXIS product family, which is delivered by Freescale, are primarily considered. If the signal assignment within the mating connector is properly followed it is possible to crate such kind of module even with components from other vendors.
Development tools for the componets manufactured by Freescale are provided free of charge for both Windows and Linux based OS. In this case, the developer doesn't need any other equipment for programing and debugging of a particular application. This fact makes a significant improvement in terms of development speed and subsequent transition of prototype to commercial environment.
