Abstract
Several aspects of Petri nets in computer and system engineering education are discussed, and the architecture of special course on Petri nets from the Computer science and engineering curricula is described. The level of modeling and decision power of Petri nets, and supporting computerized tools are considered as well as the context and significance of own research on Petri nets modeling.
