Article deals with some design and implementation concepts used in new version of SIMLIB/C++ simulation tool.
Abstract
The goal of this article is to explain basic design and implementation concepts used in new version of simulation library SIMLIB/C++. The old version was designed in 1990 and this is noticeable. Meanwhile, the ISO C++ standard evolved and the library adapted to new C++ features only partially. The new version uses modern ISO C++ features (namespaces, templates, STL containers etc.) and design patterns. The backward compatibility is maintained where it is possible.
