Annotation
This article deals with brute force attacks on cryptographic algorithms, provides an overview and shows the possibility of their acceleration by graphics cards. The first part of the article provides a brief introduction to the architecture of current graphic cards. Main part deals with the acceleration of symmetric ciphers, asymmetric ciphers and hashing functions. Last part gives a short overview and comparison of famous historical force attacks on cryptographic algorithms.
