This work deals with modeling, simulation and design of discrete-event systems, with special focus on continuously running and evolving systems. Main contribution of the work is (1) explanation of the evolving systems featuring dynamic manipulation with models and simulations, (2) concept of an abstract architecture for evolving systems simulation and design, and (3) demonstration of the concept in case studies.
