Abstract

This thesis focuses on the process of creating a desktop application that processes radar data, from which it detects vehicles, their speed, and direction in an appropriate manner. The core of the application uses a Fourier transformation to transform radar data from time to a frequency domain. This frequency spectrum is used to get the important informationfor the calculation of vehicle speed, followed by a correction of the calculation by the cosine factor. The result of this thesis is a desktop application, which allows its user to obtain information from radar data about the detected vehicle and subsequently, to determine its speed.
