Abstract

Target of this thesis is to describe and compare encodings that take discrete wavelet transformed image as input, as it is in JPEG 2000 standard. Its main concern is description of such encoding algorithms as well as comparison between some of them, namely EBCOT, SPIHT and EZBC. One of possible improvements of this work is implementing more effective modification of said algrotihms.
