To obtain an introduction into fundametals of physics.
Introduction to physics: fundamental quantities and units. The mass point: kinematics and dynamics of the mass point, Newton's laws, momentum, work, kinetic and potential energy. The system of mass points: centre of mass. The rigid body: torgue, moment of inertia, angular momentum, rotation. Oscillations: harmonic oscillations, damped oscillations, forced oscillations, resonance, Fourier analysis of periodic motion.

Students understand the basic physical concepts, principles and processes. They are able to solve simple problems concerning these principles and processes.
