The public relations group has two specific goals:
1: INFORM
- Provide relevant information about goals, procedures and projects in order to inform the general population - adults, as well as young people (as prospective users/citizens) about Nation1. The goal here is that a public informed about Nation1's services and strengths will be condusive to playing a role in the 'influence-influencer' process.
2: INFLUENCE
- Identify relevant audiences Nation1 ('kids') need to 'influence' (eg. adults, business executives, other young people, NGOs, the UN, Governments) in order to bring about change.
- Identify relevant material (discussions, articles, polls) that should be distributed to those being influenced.
- Develop an internet system at public.nation1.net that distributes relevant material from influencers (ie. kids in Nation1) to influenced.
- Develop real life relationship with 'influenced' in order to smooth the 'influencing' process.
Primarily, the Public Relations Group is in charge of building a PUBLIC web presence for Nation1 (that is, the part of the site that 'non-citizens' can access). This website will be available at http://public.nation1.net.
Nation1 will develop strategic relationship with a variety of Partner Organisations to assist in the distribution of Nation1 content.
