I've been working in Smalltalk pretty much exclusively since 1987. My Smalltalk career started at Carleton University, with Apple Smalltalk running on a Lisa.
I was the first employee of The Object People, and worked there for five years. One of the things I did while I was there was to write the first version of TOPLink, and basically led the team that did version 2.0 (although that mantle passed to Anthony when I was getting ready to leave).
Since then, some of the more interesting stuff I have done:
- wrote a web browser in Squeak at Interval Research
- wrote PIC/Smalltalk, a Smalltalk compiler that translates psuedo-Smalltalk code into assembler to run on an 8-bit PIC RISC micro-controller
I am currently working on two (personal) Squeak projects:
