Hi.
I'm a young programmer that got his first taste of OO on TurboPascal, and noticed that something was wrong. I went exploring, and thus found Smalltalk, and bliss.
My interests: exploring, teaching and hopefully extending the ObjectOriented view of programming, coding BestPractices, some DesignPatterns, (the wide interpretation of) UserInterfaces and research on effective implementation of dynamic OO.
As you might surmise, I have something of a crush on the Self project. On the other hand, Squeak doesn't require Solaris or such to run. Possesion is 90% of the love... (paraphrasing Heinlein)
I want to take this opportunity to thank and compliment *personally* everyone that shares responsibility for Smalltalk. Every so often it causes me to smile as nobody that's changed all their teeth has a right to smile. Two such times were releases 1.23 and 1.3 of Squeak.
I've coded in Pascal, Basics, C/C++, Rexx, PL/I, Assembly language, and various others for most of my life.
I Smalltalk when I can.
Interests in Squeak:
I use Celeste, and sometime write for it.
