FAQ: Simplifying the Interface

How can I configure a Morphic World to be easier for a Squeak newbie? For instance, I'd like to disable the halos.

Bob Arning answered in the mailing list (7 July 1999): One key method here is HandMorph>>specialGesture: If you make this a simple ^self, then the command & shift-command clicks go away.

Also, see Preferences>>disableProgrammerFacilities, which disables halos, programming menus, etc.
