Documentation Tasks In Progress
Everybody actually working on Squeak documentation is asked to add their project and its status here. Please tag your additions with your name and the date.
Documentation in the Image
- [8 Nov 1999 - Dwight Hughes] I am once again in the midst of documenting a number of classes in the image (having had to drop the task for several weeks). Most of the classes I'm concentrating on have documentation that is inadequate or cursory or inaccurate - only about 20 or so are from the pool of classes totally without comments. A fully updated 2.5 image has 407 out of 1001 classes that are uncommented. I'm working on a total of about 130 classes -- I should be able to get these out Real Soon Now for review in groups of 10-20 classes.

General Documentation tasks
- Rewriting the Squeak FAQ - Who is actually doing this at the moment? It's a great job. hh considers it to be a good idea to give each question a page of its own. It allows room for growing and refering to the question from different spots. Please insert your name here instead of the text in italics.
- Enhancing the bibliography
- [16 Oct 1999 - Matthias Berth] I have just started the Squeak Cookbook. Your additions and enhancements are very welcome. (Let me confess that I'm a Newbie Learning to Squeak, so I don't feel competent enough for this task.)
- Oct 19 1999 - Mark Guzdial: I hope to have a complete draft of Squeak: Object-Oriented Design with Multimedia Applications in December. Rick Zaccone at Bucknell and me at Georgia Tech will use the textbook in our classes, then I'll revise and the book will go to the publisher (Prentice-Hall) in June 2000. Also, an edited volume Squeak: Community and Applications will be heading to the publisher in late Summer 2000.
