Introducing Morphic

What is morphic ?

Morphic is a user interface framework that supports composable graphical objects, along with the machinery required to display and animate these objects, handle user inputs, and manage underlying system resources such as displays, fonts and colormaps. A primary goal of Morphic is to make it easy to construct and edit interactive graphical objects (morphs), both by direct manipulation and from within programs.

Morphic will change the traditional programming using the MVC paradigma. The framework originally came from the Self 4.0 programming environment.

A Morphic window shows just one portion of a large, two-dimensional world of morphs. the window can be panned oround in this world, allowing different areas to be used for different activities. Multiple users can have windows open on a world morph simultaneously, and be actively working within it.
