Study targets:
Student of the Follow-Up Master Study Program will pass the courses that will give him deeper knowledge in a chosen branch of study and will give him user and designer skills needed to be successful creative worker in the appropriate information technology branch, namely information systems, intelligent systems, computer systems and networks, and computer graphics and multimedia. This Study Program is instructed in Czech only.
The conditions that must be fulfilled by a student during the study period and when finishing the studies:
To pass the Follow-Up Master Study, it is required to pass the courses with the overall load af 120 credits and to prepare an MSc Thesis. After fulfilling these duties, the student will complete the Follow-Up Master Study by passing a state final examination. The courses of the Follow-Up Master Study Program are structured this way: Each branch of study has compulsory courses, and branch-recommended optional courses being chosen preferably from the offer of the branch of study. A student has possibility to choose optional courses from the common offer. Next optional courses cover another electrical branches of study, and they are instructed by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication of the Brno UT staff. In the study plan, there is a set of optional social science courses which are instructed preferentially by the Training and Consulting Centre (CEVAPO for short in Czech) of the Brno UT. Each student has a duty to pass in minimum one course from this offer.
The knowledge and other presumptions that must be fulfilled by a candidate to be accepted for studies:
Precondition to be accepted to the Follow-Up Master Study Program is to pass a bachelor or master study program at some university and to pass an entrance examination in specified subjects with specified minimum mark structure.

The rules for including courses into the study plan:
Compulsory courses are arranged from the point of view of prerequisites. Optional courses are offered with the condition of being preceded by courses that prepare the theoretical background for them.
The principles of checking the study results: Credits
A brief description of evaluation principles:
Study evaluation is based on marks obtained for specified items of the appropriate course, as home works, projects, oral presentations, tests, midterm examinations, final examinations, etc. The maximum number of marks is 100. The final study report consists of records of the overall marks and a classifying symbol from the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)" (A; B; C; D; E; F). Weighted result average is obtained from the accurate classification ECTS (A=1; B=1,5; C=2; D=2,5; E=3). Student evaluation is based on the credit system compatible with ECTS. The student earns the credits for one course after fulfilling all requirements for completion of such a course including the final course examination. The final examination of each course can be written, oral, or combined.
