The aim of the Bachelor Study Program Information Technology is to prepare alumni who are able to use both hardware and software systems at a high professional level. They are able to act as designers, programmers and servicemen of computer systems, digital systems, computer networks, computer-based systems and programmers and administrators of database systems and information systems. The study program is open for teachers of higher schools who aim to complete their knowledge in the branch of information technology for the purposes of teaching.

To pass the bachelor study programme it is needed to pass the courses in the extent of 180 credits, to complete one-semester bachelor project and to defend it.
The structure of the studies is as follows: Besides compulsory courses, five courses are optional that are to be elected from to pool of optional courses offer. This pool consists of technical courses, language courses and pedagogical courses. This way, the student can get the professional specialisation for some electrical branch, for extended language education or for a pedagogical background. Besides this, the student will pass a two-semester course of English with the examination not later then by the end of the sixth semester.
The student will pass the bachelor study program after completing his duties passing the state final (bachelor) examination.

Complete higher secondary education being proved by the General Certificate of Secondary Education. All applicants to the BSc studies are expected to pass an entrance examination in mathematics at a level corresponding to standard secondary (high) schools specialized in the sciences.
Information for international students: Those applicants, who fail to prove sufficient capabilities to enter the Bachelor Study Program, will be offered a one-year bridging study. The passing of the final examination of the bridging study is sufficient to enter the Bachelor Study Program.

The compulsory courses are composed in a way to build prerequisites for the successor courses. Optional courses are offered after compulsory courses which prepare for them the theoretical background.

Study evaluation is based on marks obtained for specified items of the appropriate course, as home works, projects, oral presentations, tests, midterm exams, final exam, etc. The maximum number of marks is 100. The final study report consists of records of the overall marks and a classifying symbol from the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) (A; B; C; D; E; F). The General Grade Average is calculated from classification grades A=1, B=1.5, C=2, D=2.5, and E=3. Student evaluation is based on the credit system compatible with ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). The final examination of each course can be written, oral, or combined.
