Annotation

PLATINUM Paradigm Plus is a powerful object-oriented (OO) application development tool that provides support for the entire software development cycle. It is a CASE system not "hard coded" to any particular OO methodology, on the contrary it supports several well-known object-oriented analysis and design methods. Paradigm Plus is highly configurable through scripts and custom user preferences. The user can choose not only the OO method and the target code generation environment, but by using Paradigm Plus script language also to modify existing and create new scripts in order to extend functionality of the system. The paper shows how code generation can be extended for the additional target environment, an object-oriented database system VDL, developed at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Technical University of Brno.
