International relations

FIT activities abroad focus on cooperation on international projects with both academic institutions as well as with companies. These include research projects under the 6th and 7th EU Framework Programme and Horizon 2020, the projects prepared within the EU ARTEMIS, as well as projects supporting co-operation with the United States and the Russian Federation.

In the area of international activities, FIT organizes exchange of students and teachers with foreign institutions. As part of this exchange retracts about 60 students a year at FIT semester or annual internships at foreign universities and about 70 students from foreign institutions coming to study or gain work experience at FIT. Approximately 30 teachers a year teaching at foreign universities for one or more weeks of teaching in a similar range of teachers from abroad are coming.

These exchange activities are financed mainly through EU programme ERASMUS, thanks to the scheme ATLANTIS FIT also supports exchanges between EU and US in the framework of direct aid from the Ministry of Education in the framework of development projects BUT. The exchange of teachers and students is also co-financed from the budget of the faculty.
