Description

Both mining servers hostname and port number are publicly available (except mining malware cases) on pools webpage because they are necessary for successful setup of the mining process. Without this vital information, the miner would not be able to configure mining software properly. Based on these premises, we have decided to manually collect all mining software configurations announced by the biggest mining pools for several important cryptocurrencies. We gathered all these data in a database, which is accessible through a web application called sMaSheD (Mining Server Detector of cryptocurrency pools). Any user may query our system to check whether a given FQDN, IP address or port number is a part of known pool configuration. Moreover, this system monitors availability of mining service on known pools.
