Abstract

The project is aimed at the creation of the basis for interdisciplinary collaboration on development of reliable design techniques for early detection support in biometric physical access systems such as airport or border checkpoint, as well as facilities or event access. This support intend at generating early detection information, using biometric sensed data, for assisting the security personnel in decision making. The biometric data include, in particular, video, infrared, and audio data for identification of both appearance (including natural such as aging, and intentional, such as surgical changes, physiological characteristics (temperature, blood flow rate), and behavioral features (voice and gate). In our approach, we focus on design for reliability and testability of the biometric based information systems and technologies.
