Email: rlpa80@email.sps.mot.com

John-Reed Maffeo is an IBM Mainframe programmer/analysts living in Mesa, Arizona. He is teaching himself to Squeak so he can understand object oriented programming. His current learning project is an attempt to convert the Draw80 package found on the UIUC server to Squeak. A Macintosh Centris 610 is what he uses for Squeaking.

He is a member of the Squeak mailing list and is interested in learning to use SDTS (Spatial Data Transfer Standard) formatted data to create maps via Squeak.

John-Reed has upgraded to a Macintosh 8500 PowerPC and continues to
struggle with the Draw80 conversion. His struggles are related to
having to rewrite the MVC aspects of the application. Progress is
being made, slowly, with the help of varied web resources.

Just got back from Squeakend '00 and Camp Smalltalk. I now
state for the record that I am a Smalltalker. I am still picking
away my mapping project and letting it be complicated by a
move to Morphic.
