History

The Nation1 concept was first conceived at the International Gathering of the 2b1 Foundation. Here, over 100 adults and a few youth interested in technology and it's impact on children globally met to dicuss challenges and strategies.

The 2b1 Foundation and MIT proposed a major conference of young people, the Jr Summit 1998, which MIT agreed to host. Nation1 was put on the agenda. At this conference, 100 young people met in Boston (with a further 3000 online)
